What Highland Log Packages Include:

  • Western Red Cedar exterior log walls with window and door openings pre-cut, and flared with keyways.
  • Through-bolt holes, drift-pin holes and electrical chaseways are pre-drilled and cutouts for electrical switches and outlets are pre-cut.
  • "V" notched swept corners.
  • Western Red Cedar interior log walls with pre-cut standard and special archways if applicable to the design.
  • Douglas Fir log floor joists for the second floor if applicable.
  • Douglas Fir ridge beams and purlins.
  • Douglas Fir trusses if applicable
  • Douglas Fir interior and exterior vertical log supports.
  • Douglas Fir stairs material (not installed or pre-cut).
  • Douglas Fir interior and exterior log railing material (not installed or precut).
  • Hardware such as through-bolts, drift-pins, and settlingjacks.
  • Shipping to your building site. (Note: site must be accessible for a semi with a 45' trailer.)
  • Log shell erection on your prepared foundation and subfloor. (Note: the customer must provide for a crane and two additional carpenters.) Log packages as described above typically range between $35 and $42 per sq. ft. This includes all of the materials and services listed above. This price range will vary depending on the design of the home, and the location in which the home is to be built. (i.e. freight costs)
